Summer student volunteer program - We are please to accept application from high school students (Year 10 and up) who would like to gain volunteer work experience in a community family medicine clinic. The program targets those who would like to explore careers in medicine or health care.

Students will get a glimpse of how a family medicine clinic fits into the collaborative environment of our healthcare system in providing comprehensive health care to our community. Students will be learning some basic medical terms, names of medical equipments and tools used at a community based clinic, as well as hands on skills at the appropriate level.

All applicants must have full permission and consent from your parent / guardian to apply (we will need to ask you for their contact details if you’re selected to take part). Due to the limited number of places available, we may have to limit or modify the days and hours of participation. Typically, the program would run for half days from either 9:30 am to 12:30 pm or from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm for one week in July. Nurse Sherica Miller

Nurse Sherica completed her medical nurse training and qualification in Montreal, Canada. She is an active staff at the King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bermuda. She offers both clinical and aesthetics services at Omni Medical.
